THis happens on my Celi too when I first turn it on. It usually stops after a minute to me. My Car revs around 1k-2.5k back and forth. It only started since it got really cold around here.

Mine does that too. Does anyone have a "how to" for cleaning the MAFS?

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe the small increases in rpm's is an electronic choke. It's totally different than older cars, and probably to complex for me to understand, but I think that's what it is.

well, back when I had my lexus, it started doing the reving between 1-3K RPM, it didnt have anything to do with sensors, it was the alternator going bad, but it wasnt shot yet, it was just laboring and putting pressure on the pulley system when it tried to activate at idle. maybe your alternator is bad

The alternator is a pretty good answer actually. If your sensors and tb are cleaned and now in check, and you still have that problem, it could very well be the alternator. Steal someones OBD reader and see if any codes pop up

Mine does it too, an '04 GTS with the electronic throttle. I've got less than 8K miles on the car. It could be a dirty MAF, but with this few miles, I'm having a hard time believing it. So, maybe its the electronic throttle.
