Hey guys I put in my hondata ontake manifold gasket and I'm throwing those 2 codes. I think they involve my lift mechanism because the car runs fine, but life won't engage and my fuel cut-off dropped to 7. Does anyone have anyideas what to do?

yeah...you probably forgot to plug something back up or something...the VVT malfunction usually comes on if one of the hoses related to your intake isn't plugged back into the right position

THERE U GO DAWG...UM NOT REALLY SURE OCV STANDS FOR, BUT THERE ARE MEANING OF THE CODES...GOOD LUCK!!!! OCV = Oil Control Valve, this actuates the variable timing functions on the 1ZZ and 2ZZ engines, as well as variable lift on the 2ZZ

Problem solve I forgot to hook up the OCV sensor to the timing chain housing, I'll have to drive around a little more to be able to give a review and I have enough pictures to make an install guide, if I'm in the mood.

Its a semi-PITA. You'll be 4 bolts extra if you do it, due to hondata's retarded design. Stock gasket is less than a milimeter, Hondata gasket is 1/4 of an inch. You'll see when you put everytyhing back on. Just make sure that you keep track of everything you take apart. I can deffinately feel the gain on the highway, It has better acceleration due to the low temp of the Intake mani. after about an hour of driving the manifold was warm to the touch. Its worth it if you make some adjustments to put those bolts in, which I haven't done yet, but will soon. It scares me w/ those bolts out
