ok i have a cai (injen) and not cover for it. i must have sucked up a lot of water and now my car wont turn over. my gauges and domelight etc... flicker when the key is in the ignition. what the hell is going on? i talked to my mechanic and he seems to think that i may only have to take the plugs out and start it to dry it out, then replace the plugs but i dont know. anyone have any ideas??????

try taking out your spark plugs and cranking the engine over it should start to turn over and in the process shoot the water out of the cylinders through the spark plug holes

if it does work change the plugs and oil right away and then take it easy on it

yeah because hydrolock is the drivers error, and warranty does not COVER THAT WHAT SOEVER!! thumbsdown So if dkramm's trick doesnt work, then the guy is screwed and has to buy another engine because water does not compress

yea as long as nothing broke hydrolock can be cured easly

and water is compressible 1/1000 of 1 psi at 1000 psi lol so its basically un compressable

Aw man. It all depends on how much you sucked up. I sucked up a lot. My boy only got a little. They took his stuff apart, and cleaned it out. If that doesn't work, hope you have full cover insurance...

it wont base on th fact he had an intake and thats the reason right there why the dealer wont cover it or the insurance.

State Farm paid for mine. They weren't even pissed about my CAI. I still have it on now. I'll remove it next year during the hurricane season when it rains like crazy. Only cost me my deductible...
