Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior Finally, my car is kitted!

Hello everyone,
After 2 1/2 months driving my dads car, I finally got my car out of the auto body shop. *phew* As some people might know, I was in a car accident 3 months ago, where my car was completely smashed on the left side. Fortunately, I had full cover! I decided to mount the kaminari kit rather than the stock toyota parts. In other words, I got a full paint job, the Full Kam kit, and 18" RSL gunmetal rims w/ tires at no cost to me. I only paid for the Kam wing which ran me about $480. I'm sure my insurance is going to increase, but oh well, better make the best of it. Well, here are the pics.

Thanks guys!! The scheme of my car is going to be red & black. I love the stock look of the celica, so i thought the Kam kit was appropriate since it doesn't change the look of the celica drastically IMO. Any ideas on what I should do next? I'm planning on buying the GTS emblem again since the stupid body shop threw them out. Where can I get them? I don't want people to assume my car is a GT.

personally, i like all celi's debadged..no matter if they're gt or gts...so what if a honda owner pulls up next to you at a light and assumes you have a gt...makes you look even better when you smoke him!!

yeah keep it debadged it looks cleaner. lower ur ride, red-out the tails using www.bluebatmobile.com [bluebatmobile.com] 's overlay and get his new TRD style overlay and that'll look so sick, definitely one of the cleanest celicas ive ever seen.

and btw, im goin to rhode island now to steal ur car.

1.) TRD 1" inch drop. Maybe 1.5"
2.) Attach TRD emblems. (Just bought them)
3.) Carbon fiber Rear License backing
4.) 55% Tint all around (I don't want it too dark)
5.) Carbon fiber skid plate (Is that the proper term?)
6.) Red out tail lights and(or) black reverse light. (Bat's Overlays)
7.) Black plastic mesh. (Where can I find one that resembles the stock mesh behind the toyota badge in the front? I plan to use it on the body kit)

Please fell free to add or remove to this list. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Which TRD overlays are you referring to? As far as I'm concerned, I think there are two of them. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Carbon Fiber Hood Scoop, or if you are feeling real frisky carbon fiber hood. That would go great with the spoiler and rims!!

OEM carbon fiber hood!! with raised hood scoop maybe. That would match so good imo.

carbon fiber hood, and if you wan to put a gts emblem put it in you interior on your console door.

I'm still debating if i should get a carbon fiber hood. I'm going photochop my car with the adjustments I mentioned earlier along w/ a Carbon Fiber hood. I'll post some pics soon. Thanx!

I definately need to change that antenna. It looks like a fishing pole. I also need to paint my calipers RED to compliment the color of the car.

definately need to drop it like its hot! Those are 18" RSL Elite wheels. they come in bronze and gunmetal.

If you are a GT do not rebadge yourself as a GTS...that would be just stupid, i would flame u.

you positively need the raised hood scoop it will set your car off

55% tint is nothing dont waste your money... i have 27% and its not even dark compared to what my friends have...

you should also get the fill in letters for the "celica" on the back and possibly smoke your head lights or something

Well esko, this overlay Andy(Blue Batmobile) just finished and he needs someone to model it on his car, a few have ordered already (Hector and 10Celica10) and both of them plan on taking pics once it is installed. It looks just like the TRD Eyelids but it is a vinyl, much more affordable and if you don't like it you can always take it off. Now that I think about it and know that you're going for a red/black scheme, I say you put the smoked out headlight overlay on your car, then apply the TRD Eyelid style overlay over it, that would look so nice especially since the smoked out overlay is now only a 2 piece kit. If done right your car will look real, real mean coming down the road. If you even have difficulty imagining how it would look just ask for a chop in the "photochop" forum there are tons of good Photochop artists on here, I say you DEFNIITELY ask them to do a chop.

The pic with the carbon fiber hood looks great, and you def need the raised scoop. It would set it off perfectly.
