Since I only had the GTS for less than 30 days I was able to return it and get my GT back (toyota dealership). Never thought I would be able to do that but my dad made it work.
Here is my reason: I finally got some sense knocked into me. Sure the GTS was fun, but I made the wrong choice by getting it. My insurance went up about 30 bucks per month and my payment jumped about 60 with a whole new 72 month loan. I just decided that I couldn't afford it right now and sticking with the GT would be the wise choice (and I can get a much better car after college). I'm a college student, and I have to pay for my own books, school fees, etc. so I'm pretty much always broke. Reason I bought the GTS in the first place was because it was faster than the GT; well, it sure it faster but not by that much. I figured that I don't need the extra 40 horses when I have the looks (celica) anyway and I can get a car that I really want when I graduate college.
So I'm back with my original loan and monthly payments. I think I made the right choice, what do you guys think?
I've just decided to enjoy my GT and mod the hell out of it when I have the extra cash.
just get the gts parts piece by piece... do a rear brake swap, then tranny, engine... you can get the parts for relatively cheap.
By the time he swaps those three things, it will have cost far more than the difference that he would have been paying on a loan. Then you're still down the seats, wheel, gauges, wheels, ect.
I'm just a crosshair I'm just a shot away from you
^^^Yep, the price dif didn't seem worth it to me. I've got friends with GTSs and yea, they're quicker, but they seem to have more probs...I've got a heavy foot, and the last thing I need is to be changing lift bolts every month.

Yeah after I got the GTS I realized that the price wasnt worth it.
After getting my GT back I was obviously a little disappointed, but I still love it! Plus, after beating an integra (i know, just an integra) by like 10 cars tonight it made me feel better (must have been an auto integra).
You made a good decision. After college you can get a "better" car. There's no need to stress yourself out on something that's just going to lose value anyway while you are in college.
your still young and you have your whole life to have fast cars and nice cars...just study and pay your way through college and in the end you'll be very happy
