to everyone that has a 2003 celica... there is a recall out on our fuel system due to fire potential!!!...here is the link (click) [automotive.com]

I just checked and the 2002's have the same recall... I never thought Id say this but now Im thankful I crashed my '02 Celica Gt and got an 04 Celica GTS... I hope that 04's dont have the same problem later!

yeah..I just saw that too...the 2002 and 2003 celicas have this problem

mine was fixed about 1500 miles after i got it.

There was a recall for the 2002s also, and for the same problem.

I dunno if it was a widespread 2002 problem or just a certain month for the 2002s, but there was a recall.

yea, is this the old fuel tank problem?

it wasn't a fire issue really. It was just the pressure regulator so you don't spill the gas on yourself after you pump. THe thing was breaking off and floating around in the fuel tank. But they say fire just in case someone gets caught on fire.
