This should fit the GTS model since the Corolla and the Celica share the same engine thumbsup

It may fit with the 2zz engine but will it fit under the Celica's hood? Just like S/C probably that you will require to get a new hood.

It's technically the corrola matrix thumbsup basically a 200 hp ish sc 2zz.

It actually looks like it may fit the same as the blitz kit.

very interesting. It's nothing high powered but better then stock rofl wonder what the price tag is.

Don't think you'd need a new hood due to the of it. As Lucky said it looks a lot like the blitz

You never know, if the internals of the commpressor can take more boost...You could always throw a smaller diameter pulley on and hell maybe even a larger lighter weight crank pulley! Then swap out your injectors, tune it, and BAM mutha fucker. thumbsup

Saweet hopefully it will fit. So thats a 33 horsepower gain right? If you use go from 16 inch rims to 17's do you get a better 0-100km/h time because I wonder why they did that?

Looks like the SC is level with the cylinder head in those pics, which means it would clear the hoodline on the celica.

Who distribues this? will they export? I need contact info!

It will be a dealer option for toyota in europe in the beginning of 2005. It will have about a 43 hp gain for the corolla, wich has 192 hp standard. The MR2 will gain 44 HP on its stock 140 HP engine. TTE didnt anounce this charger for the celica (i wonder why), but perhaps it will fit. If you guys are interested i can ask the dealer when it will arrive around here.

All TTE gear is dealer optional in Europe now - I just fitted some TTE springs to my Celi - looks sweet grin I think they are actually Eibach gear..

Just FYI, there's no Matrix in Europe, it's a Corolla. Also no Scions by that name or any other, and while we're at it, no Acuras either. (It's just a Honda badge with the top of the "H" folded in to make an "A" anyway! tongue tongue rofl)

Hey no offence, I am really impressed with your SC install, I posted that on the other forum too! But looking at the numbers of the TTE SC I am still a lot faster with my 6 psi boosted GT

I know, I wasnt offended. The turbo's and supercharger's function differently. Basically the person going for the turbo wants the huge increase in power. The person who wants the supercharger wants the instant acceleration with better reliability. It all comes down to what the person is looking for. You are right that the turbo is gonna add a lot more power but I just think a lot of people would also be interested in something that has a better chance of being reliable. The turbo can also be reliable but it takes a little more care then a supercharger. Really its just if your gonna race your car, get turbo. If you want a better daily-driver, get the sc.

Haha, thanks.
In the vids I start below boost area so it could have been faster smile

To be honest I am very interested in comparing a SC powercurve to my turbo powercurve. My kkk-04 turbo spools up like mad, so I am very interested.
at 2500 rpm I have 6 psi at hand. building boost from 2000, so I think your biggest gains (compared to mine) are below the 2500 rpm.
I've never driven a SC before so I can't really tell, but I am sure your car pulls like mad too

As I said I am really impressed by your decision to go the SC way. If I didn't live halfway across the world I'd drop by to compare cars smile

thats not true a lot of vehicles come turbocharged from the factory and they are daily drivers such as evo's , wrx, audi tt audi a6 etc

Yeah I bet with the manual it is not bad at all with the spooling. The problem with my dyno is that since I have an auto you cannot see below 3k rpms where most of the torque is.

Those cars come from the factory with turbos meaning they are designed with the added power in mind. The celica was not designed from the factory to handle a lot more power.

Yea, the 2ZZ has a pretty high compression; not that you couldn't go FI, but the boost can't be that high, and you really need to watch your A/F ratio when running boost; It was designed as a NA motor though. I think the 2ZZ could hold up if the boost was around 5-6 PSI or so, but more boost requires a lowering of the compression ratio, not to mention beefier internals.

The short, boxy stroke of the 2ZZ would be nice either FI or NA, but the factory designed it to be a high-revving, NA motor; Similar to the VTEC motors. Yes, you can boost those too, but not without either keeping the boost low, or by building up the engine first.

Cars like the SRT-4, Evo Lancer, WRX and all the other factory turbos is simply that they were designed to run boost from the factory. Fuel Systems, compression ratio, gearing, valvetrain; Everything is ready to run FI from the factory.

Serious boost will require some engine work, but even modest boost on a 2ZZ will show good gains, especially low in the revs, where power is needed most.

So if you're looking for improved performance and daily drivability, a basic, low boost turbo or SC would probably be a good investment. That's just my opinion, though.
