first time this has ever happened, to me at least - I washed my car today, and I chose today because its a little warmer (its only -25 today) anyhow, I blew out my locks and windows with compressed air and everything, but, when I went back to my car a few hours later and started to drive away, my back tire was frozen in place!
I had to do a loop arround the block, but since there's packed snow everywhere, it didn't hurt my tire - and talk about some easy fish tailing... when I got back to my parking spot, I tried a few things. What seemed to work is when I put the ebrake on, and then tried to move a bit while it was on. This for whatever reason fixed it - I don't know if my e-brake froze up somewhere along the line or what.. but as I said, first time its ever happened to me..

Beat me to it. Your parking/E-brake was probably frozen. Not the lever itself, but the brakes. Happened to me before, but with the "other" car. I have heard before that if it gets real cold to not use your E-brake for parking situations because that kind of stuff could happen. Next time try leaving the E-brake off if possible.

dam that must suck is it that cold all year around? no, our summers are just like yours.. it can gets over 100 at least a couple of times a year. 2 years ago, we had a 2 weeks of 100+ degree weather. The coldest day I've ever experianced was -64 with a -72 windchill - the weather guy was like "don't go outside, exposed skin freezes".. aperantly saskathewan has the biggest tempreature fluxuation of anywhere in the world, although ND and MIN aren't that different
