Have any of you with the action package ever gotten annoyed by the large spoiler? is just looks huge back there in the back and even without a spoiler, its hard to see through the window. just askin for an opinion if i ever thinking about getting the whole TRD kit.

The TRD spoiler does not annoy me and it's not hard to see through the window. I prefer it much more than the stock spoiler.

actually if you had the stock spoiler on it would be harder to see, with the TRD spoiler it is much better to see.

^^ I agree...the stock spoiler is too low. The TRD spoiler is higher, making it easier to see.

I don't think it gets in the way at all. One funny story though...
I needed my dad to drive my car to the dealer one day and as he was backing out of the driveway he hit the mailbox. rofl He blamed the TRD spoiler of course. I was pretty pissed, but luckily the mailbox was one of those plastic ones.

i've had both spoilers. I love the view with the stock and TRD spoiler. though i miss the stock because it would block most of the high-beams from other vehicles that are about the height of the celica (stock) thumbsup

try tinting your windows... then it doesn't matter if something is in your way or not - you'll hardly be able to see out of them either way tongue

I perfer the stock spoiler because its often between me and the headlights of cars behind me. It works great when people with super brights are behind you.

The only negative about the TRD spoiler is it is in an uncanny position to block the view of a cops lights when they are on. grin

How tall are you? I have a Kam wing (will be for sale soon) and it's basiclly dead center of the window. I'm 5'9" Your wing from where you sit seems to be more towards the top...???

I hate my stock spoiler. It bugs the hell out of me. I can't see the car directly behind me cause it cuts right across the middle of the car. So i can never tell if it's a cop car unless i bob my head up and down. The trd spoiler has a wayyy better view. Plus it doesn't help that our cars have huge asses big as the moon, so i cant see anything im backing into.

I'm 6' 0", but its hard to compare your height only because it has a lot to do with how long your torso is too. I'm pretty long-legged, so have a shorter torso, so I'd probably compare to an average guy of 5' 9" when sitting. You sorta have to judge how you compare to average.

But about the spoiler. I've got the '04 action package (with TRD spoiler). I didn't like it too much at first, but I've come to like it a lot. For my height, whatever, it blocks a lot of the headlights behind me, so that with the tint means bright headlights behind are never a bother. I like the way it looks too. But I do think the Celi looks good without a spoiler too.

I'm going wingless soon. I'm waiting for the rain to stop so I can remove, sell and use the money to get the holes welded up finished and the hatch repainted. thumbsup

I've actually almost gotten in an accident because I couldn't see a car coming up fast on the left lane (he was too far back for my side mirrors) and his headlights were blocked by the stock spoiler. I've also had to shift my body up and down to see if there are cars behind me. I've since let the dirt build up on my rear window to scatter the light and let me see cars. tongue

Meh. I like the stock spoiler. It does get in the way... but that has its advantages at night with blocking out car headlights.

I think the curved design of the stock spoiler compliments the overall design of the car well. I haven't looked at any other spoilers for the celica in person so I will say nothing of them.
