i was thinkin if putting 2 indevidual 10" boxes on each side in the trunk is as effective or not that effective as putting a dual sub enclosure in the center of the trunk...

which might be better...or are they the same?

It's all about their air space. Two boxes that are each one cubic foot should be as effective as one box that's two cubic feet... or at least that's my experience.
