I'm getting out of the shock faze and into the fixing faze. My garage door dropped the sec I backed out of my Garage. I always look and I could see it was open, but the chain failed and it dropped fast 240lbs drops and I hit it at the half way mark, just above the bumper, sorry no pics, I can't look at it right now. It could have been a hell of lot worse but I stepped on that brake and grabbed the ebrake faster than could count maybe 1/2 to 3/4 sec. So anyhow, now I need tails and maybe even a spoiler, can't even drive it until I get tails, it destroyed them to hell. The whole backend will probably need painted, some bodywork, fun fun fun, mom can we do it again. Ok so I stopped and thought thank god it's not as bad as it could be, but damn it, with only 2,500 miles on it, I'm pissed. I added a spring loaded system to the door today "thanks to home depot" so it will no happened again even if the chain breaks it will stay up. Apparently this was something that was not installed before that should have been. Probably because the dumb ass that owned this home before me was a lawyer and had his cheap ass head up his fucking ass. *finds lawyer and kicks the shit out of him then pulls pants down and pisses on him* ahhhhhhh now I feel better. BTW: I just got out of the car and didn't even look at it first I walked up stairs and said to myself that did not just happen, no fucking way %$$&%$%$^&$&$#%$#^%#$#%$#%#&$$%#$%#$$$#$#, then walked back down to the garage and looked. not cool So many wrecked Celi's this year already

Man, what a bummer. Sorry to hear. I've got a door with springs, but I sometimes worry it could come down too. Hope the repairs go well.

I swear she is loosing her mind. She has also left the gas station without taking the pump out of the gas tank. But, I'm sorry to hear that the Celica has been "wrecked". Just think it could have been much, much worse...
My car is gunna be 10x faster than yours...haha... I'm gunna buy like 10 of those speedchips! I figure if 1 gets me 20hp then 10 will get me 200hp!

the celi will be better soon .. i never knew those things could fall.. then again our place has the old fashion manual ones you lift up yourself ditto here. our garage door is wood and with all this rain, it swells up and weighs a lot more than normal. i've been paranoid that it'll fall on my celi. best of luck iggy.

so..your original garage door system only opened by a chain? how is that stron enough, the door must be made of thin aluminum or something, cause miens a big ass wooden door with 2 300lb springs on it

Sucks to hear that man. It could have been much worse... Thank God you weren't standing under the door when it fell.
