Well first off. I plan to get the Axis Hiro (18 x 8.5) when it comes out. About next week. Will an 8.5 wide rim fir the Celica with out rubbing and still not exceed the body of the car (stick out). Does anyone have a pic of a celica with 8.5 wide rims without a wide body? Also, what tires should i buy. First of the size...???/40/18 and secondly what brand and make. I dont want to spend a whole lot on tires. I'm not racing so i dont need something with a lot of traction. I will put my stock rims on back in the winter so the tires just have to be good for rain and dry ground. I kinda want a tire that has decent traction but i want to get as many miles i can. (i dont burn out or anything like that.) What brand/make should i get and if you could post a picture of the tread and how much they cost. THANKS!

My friend (one who has the STi i posted) his dad is well i guess you could say sponsord by NTB (national tire and battery) so they can get me the wheels rather cheap smae with the tires. But my problem is...will 8.5 fit the celica? and is 23lbs a wheel to much?

Yep, i've got the Pirelli P-Zero Nero M-S, they're great and do not seem to wear quite as fast.

What tire width to i need to get to fit the 8.5 width of the rim. Will these rims fit or will they rub and/or stick out?

a lot depends on the offset too. what is the offset on those rims? also, if you want awesome tires, arguably the best, go for Toyo Proxes 4

Will a tire with a tread life rating of 330 last long or shorter than a tire with 250...?

I believe you can get an offset of about 35 or 38 on the Axis Hiro's

35 means that the wheel is gonna stick out more, but with a 8.5" width it'll be flush w/the fenders. As for rubbing, they shouldn't rub when you turn the sterring wheel, but I dunno if they'll rub if you lower your Celica alot...like when you bottom out. As for size..225/40 to 255/40 will fit. So just go to www.tire.com [ tire.com] and do a search for those sizes and it'll tell you what brands they carry & how they cost.
