I've been doing research on which shocks to get with my Hotchkis springs, and I'm not sure what I should do. I know that on most shocks (Tokico, KYB, Koni) you're not supposed to go lower than 1.5" but I already bought the springs (bottle, from titan, great price btw) and they're sitting in my room as I type this. rolleyes So, the question is, what set of shocks should I get?

1. Tokico HP

2. KYB GR2 (I'm pretty sure I'm not interested in the AGX's unless they can handle the springs better than GR2's)

3. Koni Yellow (my least favorite choice since they are the most expensive)

Thanks everyone wave

In retrospect, I probably should have just gotten the full Tokico setup, but oh well can't change it now. rolleyes

i bought tokico hp all the way around for 229 on ebay. They are going with my hotchkis springs. They just are not on yet. I was told that the gr2s were not anything more than new stock shocks. The tokicos were described slightly stiffer. Koni yellows are very expensive. Id say the tokicos, unless you want adjustability the go with the agx's

Not more than 1.5" I know people say that about stock shocks but performance shocks I think is a differant story because that is kind of the whole idea about getting differant shocks is so they can handle the drop.

If you do get the KYB shocks, you will void the manufacturer warranty if you lower the car lower than 1.5". The only shock that can handle a 2" or more drop is the Koni Yellow, or atleast that is what I have seen said many times.

I have also read about many people that have a 2" or more drop on AGX and the GR-2 and have had no problems. So, it's really your call...

My car is gunna be 10x faster than yours...haha... I'm gunna buy like 10
of those speedchips! I figure if 1 gets me 20hp then 10 will get me 200hp!

I got them from bottle on the classified section. He works for www.titanmotorsports.com [titanmotorsports.com]. The price Just increased as of Jan. 1 though. They're still the cheapest that I know of though.

Like Azzkikr said $150 now.

With the Hotchkis springs, is it possible to adjust the camber back close to the original settings, or are camber links required?

From what I've heard, you really only have to get camber links if it's below a 2" drop (Hotchkis isn't).

Anyone else know for sure?

^^^ Yeah... I think you'll be safe... the camber links were originally part of a competition package they offered that had sways, links, and coilovers
