i see steam rising from my hoodscoop and this foul stench. I disregarded it thinking it was just the cold weather and the hot motor, and also closed the vents so the smell doesnt come in. I got on the on ramp but before merging with traffic pulled over to the sholder, anyways long story short i didnt hear it but the oil cap popped off any of youy guys experience this, first time its ever happened

i bought these from pepboys for about $11 - they were on some sale extravaganza ramps are better IMO. though you'll need jack/stands as well. <- worth investing your money into these items

ramps are a very good investment even if you don't absolutely NEED them for stuff, they make simple things like removing the front bumper ten times more pleasant

Just change your own oil, since I dont have my car lowered I can slide under there without a jack. The factory jack isnt that bad.

damn..that sux..word of caution for those of you that have someone change ur oil..'ALWAYS CHECK THE CAP WHEN U PICK UP UR CAR'..betta save then sorry..the only reason i would let someone change my car oil is because of the weather, snow is the only time i'll let someone do it..other then that i'll do it myself..cuz when you do it and you mess up then it's ur own damn fault, if a shop do it they probably won't admit to it..

one thing too ,i used to work at a toyoya dealership in the bay area and the oil they use is .(lets just say its real cheap and no one at the dealership uses it on there own car) If i do haved to get my oil changed i would go to the dealership with my own oil and filter, they can not charge you the full amount for an oil change if you supply your own stuff.as i pep boys i would for sure talk to a manager there thats complete bull****. if they were the last to work on it they are respnsible.

If you heard it POP, I'd take the PCV should be taken off, cleaned with carb cleaner and reinstalled. It's supposta burp the blowby pressure from the valve cover. Even so, the cap should have been tightened!!!!! Change the O- Ring on the oil cap for good measure.
