So I'm driving through a huge puddle earlier, since everything is flooded here. When I get back on dry land, my car is making a HORRIBLE sound. It sounds like something must be wrong with the wheels or brakes. We're about three miles from home, so I drive all the way back with this god awful noise. I get home and look under my car, and this is what I found:

plastic from the undercar. It covers the oil filter area and oil pan. Not really a necessary piece I have mine off all the time. But the drivers side piece is important cause it helps to keet water out of the fender where my CAI is.

Looks like the last place that did your oil change didn't put any or all of the bolts back onto your undercarriage cover. I had a car tune up at a Toyota dealership, took a three hour drive, found out that one of my covers was dragging for three hours and disentergrated. I didn't know it was dragging and thought it was just bad wind noise. I called the dealership and showed up with the damage cover and they replaced it for free. Your's doesn't look damage, looks like it just needs the bolts to bolt it back on. Hope this helps for you

yea that happened to me to one night. My cousin was behind me and said he saw sumthin sparking under the car. We pulled over and the plastic was dragging. So i figure it was one of the clips or a screw or sumthin makin the spark.

Yup, if you got your oil changed at a shop, its pretty much guaranteed they messed up putting the plastic back on. One of several reasons why I'll never let a shop do mine. You can order a new one from Toyota, or try your luck with junkyards. Its a bit pricey to order, I hear.

Something like that. It's okay though, my Miata had something like 9 actual accidents. rofl

Hafta use aftermarket clips from Autozone to secure. I paid $3.00 for a box of 16 to fit "Ford", and these babies hold with some serious torque. They do take some yanking to get back out again, and will thus crack in severe cold, but for $.20 a piece, so f--king what??!! thumbsup wink
