i was wondering how you hook up an air/fuel gauge i know you hook up the red to power and black to ground, the the purple wire goes behind the panel on the passenger side to a blue wire.. can anyone tell me which blue wire it is? thanks

yup, thats it. Comes rom the front O2 sensor. Circled and numbered "1". Number 2 blue wire comes from the O2 sensor after the cat, you don't want this one.

I have one installed to, but I think they are pretty accurate for non wide-bands. It'll always read rich, I use to think it was off, but actually it isn't I learned more about compression ratios and apparently 10.5 and above compression ratio is very dangerous w/ street octane gas. Our cars run really rich and the timing has been retarded by a substantial amount. I think thats one of the reasons why we have coil packs instead of distributer caps. just to keep retards from advancing it and blwoing there engine. You probably didn't need to knopw this info but I wanted to rant. I also maybe be wrong, so correct me

if i remember correctly, my a/f shows lean a lot more often than rich

its rich when gas is added to the engine, lean when the accelerator is let off, stoich will normaly only occur when using cruise control

AFR gauges are HORRIBLY inaccurate. They're nothing more than an expensive lightshow.
