Down here is southern utah its been flooding like crazy and I was trying to be a good citizen by helping fill sand bags so the rich faggots that live next to the river would not get flooded out and I had to drive through what used to be a small puddle to get home and the damn thing grew huge and deep and my intake sucked water up the pipe into my cylinders. ALL OF THEM. I pulled the plugs and cut the fuel and shot almost all the water out and dried off my fudged up spark plugs and got my car to start. I am scared to death I just messed up my engine!!!

What could happen to my car from this happening? what else can I do to fix it or try to help it?

did you do a compression check ?

if you check the link in my sig I have a album with pics of when I did the same thing.

you will want to drop about a tea spoon of oil into each cylinder just to be safe, also you'll want to remove your intake manifold and spray t with some brakkleen. they rust very easy.

other then that you took all the correct steps. thumbsup

Good news I blew my rod through my block today leaving work. The water did more damage then expected. I now have no more 02 celica gts action pack with 3 day old TRD Exhaust. I now how to find a new engine and possibly more which is more money then I can afford to spend. Now I get to drive my 84 celica GT. Im in such shock still that I dont know how pissed off and sad to be...

that means you still had water in there. gotta be VERY careful when that happens. you wanna make extra sure theres no water cause as I'm sure you know it wont compress and does lotsa damage.

that does suck. Is this going to affect your production of the celica/elise parts???

you should be covered under comprehensive for the flood damage and anything you fuck up right? I mean even if you vandalize your own car it's still vandalism right? so you should only need to come up with the deductable. besides the insurance company doesn't need to know you had a CAI.. as long as you have the old stuff you can always put it back.

well my insurance company said they would cover it and are sending some inspector dude to look at the damage and stuff. I worried he is gonna say NOPE we dont cover aftermarket stuff. I have my stock airbox and thought about puttin it back in but after looken at my car there is almost no way the water could of gotten in with my stock air box on. I dont want them to think I am tring to fraud them.

no, my insurance didnt cover it... i didnt throw the rod due to hydrolocking or flooding... so it wasnt under anything the insurance could do..

but, you have flood damage... they should cover it... idk how much your rates will go up though.

why don't you get on the list for the next tpr intake order. it is both a CAI & a SRI. you get the best of both worlds for 1 cost.

that reason is the main reason I'm getting one lol

the insurance company told me they would restore my car to as close as they can to what its current state was before it got F'ed. So the motor im gettin has 30,000 miles on it. Which does not bug me one bit. My baby is gonna live again.

Lucky how do I get on the list for the new TPR? and when is it gonna come out?
