Does anybody know anything about these? I love the look of them and would like to replace the Autometer's I installed this past weekend b/c the AC S7's match my interrior quite well. I've seen several people w/the AC speedo/tach gauges...but am curious about this type of gauge

2 1/16" will fit the gauge, don't worry
the gauges DO have the 3D look to them, that's why they are still dubbed S7 wave

they just light up a lot different and look sweet, i got the normal version that don't black out.

I like those dude, I like the fact that they black out when the car is off, and then light up when the car is on. those are definately on my must buy list for this year, they look like they'd go well with the RJ autoworks gauges I just bought. thumbsup

what else do you need to do to install the gauges?? ie, what do you need to tap into everything?

its all electrical, so its just finding where you want to tap the wires into
and for water temp, you get the sensor tapped somewhere i forget though, i found a thread about it.

yeah, the gauges are easy to install. for the a/f there are 3 wires: one is ground, one is 12V power, and the other just taps into the O2 sensor wire (which is located in the passenger side footwell). as far as the water temp, it has a ground and 12V power wire as well. it also has a temperature sensor on it that goes into your radiator manifold. you just drill a hole through the firewall and then screw that badboy in and thats it!

cool thanks everyone!! so the only thing extra that people buy are the oil (what is it called) so you don't tap into the line?? or is it the fuel line?

well, there are two type of gauges: electric and mechanical. electric just taps into a wire somewhere to give you a reading, whereas mechanical is actually connected to the device it's reading (such as water temp, oil temp, oil pressure, etc)

no, there are electical that use sensors also
such as the water temp AC one...its electrical but the sensor still has to be in like any other mechanical, it just has a WIRE instead of like a steel braided hose.
