my carbon fiber invader hood has some stress cracks in it and i was thinking of painting a custom layout on the hood to cover these areas up... what are some of the best looking half and half (paint and carbon fiber) scheams that you guys and gals have seen? pics will help. thanks to all! grin BTW the car is carbon blue.

The one from evil irish looks really good.

Did I tell you that my part at the chrome shop still wasn't done? One year and it was still sitting on the floor.

Thanks again for offering to pick it up though.

i wish i would've known 2 years ago that you could paint carbon fiber hoods... i had asked someone when i was buying all the parts for my car if you could and they said no... so i stuck with the stock hood... i would've gotten the invader hood otherwise... but then again i don't know if that would go with the hood spoilers and i love those... might be too much with both though... do you think?

I like the white cars hood. I didn't like the invader hood before it looked to chunky and busy but with it painted like that it kinda takes some of the confusion out of it and makes it flow better. does anyone know about how many lbs you would save by using a Carbon Fiber hood as oposed to a fiberglass hood? I like a slightly cleaner look so I'd want a hood that was solid painted the same color as my car and was wondering if getting a Carbon Fiber hood and painting it or a fiberglass hood and painting it would make much of a difference in performance.

I love the White one, it looks so clean! That car would look 10x better w/ a bomex kit on it though w/ the hood painted that way. thumbsup thumbsup
