Celica Forums General Discussion General Just drove an STi!

i went to look at an 02 wrx today and when i got there the guy told me they had just sold it the other day. he said they just got an sti this morning and told me to go check it out. he came up to it and said lets go for a ride without checking my license or anything. after weaving it out of their tiny car lot we were off. the guy was cool and told me to unload it in first around a corner and then unload second. this car pulled way harder than anything i have ever been in and begged to go fast. one thing i love is the driver controlled center differential and the center positioned tachometer with built in shift light. it was an 04 silver with 6600 miles on it. no matter what gear you were in if you were over 3000 rpm the thing just took off. now if i only had $29000 laying around...

yeah i have driven lots of turbo cars and whenever i get back in my celica i feel empty

the interior for one thing
a lot of stuff
i forget, better steering was one thing
but there was a lot of little things making it a lot more appealing, esp the interior.

ic i notice on the 05 wrx they dropped the momo wheel which sucks that was awesome having that and yea i read in a magazine steering ratio is changed

my friend has an sti, and i've been in it a few times but never driven it. you dont even have to be driving it to tell how fast this sucker is. every time he pushed it, it felt like my stomach was pushed back. the interior is beautiful too

yea, the steering wheel is still Momo, they just put the subaru logo on it

its different tho, its a 3 point not the 4 anymore it looks like ours with a sub logo i dont like it

i saw an sti the other day, i got out of the car and bowed down to it.

haha i live in an area with the biggest sub dealer in southern utah, at any given time they have like 8 wrx's and 2 sti's. and i drove this one at an independant lot. im a big sti fan and when i woke up that morning i didnt think i would be driving an sti

Theres a bunch here in houston that ive seen. Theres no club or anything, but I once followed about 9 of them on the road. They looked and sounded like the most amazing things ever . I love the way they sound kinda like a harley..
