Hey everyone...
I just bought a JDM console with a 6.5" Power Acoustik screen...I'm gonna hook up a PS2 to that. I remember reading a post Stun had a while ago where he gave some dude instructions on installation. I can do the "basics" like hooking up the PS2 to the screen, using a power inverter, mounting screen, etc...But from there on, like hooking up screen to the car wires, etc, I have no experience. If anyone can help, I would GREATLY appreciate it.
Thanks...

just wire the power inverter to any 12v source in the car, if its over 300wts I would run a direct connection to the battery, thats really all you need, is the power conenctions for the inverter and the screen.

Installing a monitor in the Celica is pretty easy especially if you are planning to mount it with the JDM console because you could easily get 12v (RED wire) from the clocks ACC wire (If I remember correctly its the BROWN wire) and you can find ground (BLACK wire) pretty much anywhere. However, Im not sure what other wires the Power Acoustik screen contains or if it has a security system to bypass like the Alpine or Pioneer monitors. What other wires are there? Are there any more wires than the RED & BLACK???

Hey Stun,
Haven't received it yet...But from pictures, it looks like there's only 2 wires plus the video connection. How about mounting it?...should I use speaker mounts from RadioShack? Thanks...

Hey Stun...Thanks for that man! I'm gonna probably install it this weekend. I'll let you know how it goes...
BTW, where did you get the Pyle mount and for how much? Thanks.

Does anybody know if you can get a 03+ JDM console, cause the 03+ console is a different color, more of a darker carbon silver instead of a silver/hint of purple silver. Sorry for the huge ass picture, but looks like this:

Well, it's done guys! Thanks for all your help...I got the last of the parts yesterday (screen, console, etc.) I put it all together today in about 2 hours. The only part I really have left is to drill a "slot" in the back of the glove compartment so the PS2 fits...Without the wires connected to the back, it fits perfectly and the door shuts, but the length of the adaptor ending makes it 2 cm too big Instead of the filler (tater's), I used that rubber that was inside the box of the old console and placed it over the gap (I'll put tater's filler when he makes it again)...Looks pretty good, I think. The audio was done through the tape player and it's so much better than I thought it'd be. Anyways, I'll post pics and prices and how I did it for those interested. Thanks again to those who helped...
