A car with a kit and no rims looks stupid. A car with rims and no kit looks good. Should be an easy one to figure out..

i dunno though... cause the rims that come with celicas (whether that be GT or GTS) aren't crappy lookin rims... so i think it'd be okay to get the body kit first... i think it all just depends on what's more important to you... for me.. (no offence to anyone this applies to it's my complete opinion) but i'm not really happy with the way a stock celica looks... the bottom is just too plain for me... but once you put a body kit on there... it just completely morphs the car... so personally i would've went for the body kit first.. if i hadn't gotten them both at the same time

suspension, bodykit, then find rims that look right with the kit, well thats the order im doing things... its kinda hard to find a kit that will match rims.

nah... i wouldn't suggest everybody to do that normally.. haha... it just worked out well for me... i bought my car wrecked so i just got a big enough loan to cover the car, the parts, and all of my current mods.. it's a car loan so they have cheaper interest rates than most EDIT: oh... my loan was $9000 plus i maxed my $1000 credit card... haha

bodykit first think about it, it's all logical who the hell cares what your car may look like for a little bit once you get a bodykit, you can decide how big of rims you want, which rims look best with the setup, then determine the lowest you can lower it without it being a hassle.

...Exactly what I was going to say.
I got my body kit, then decided what size and kind of rims would go good with it.
Once the wheels and body kit are on, you can then decide what kind of drop you need to make it look good and be functional for you.

see that's what i thought would be logical too... i couldn't understand why you would lower it first when the body kit kind of lowers it a little... and then what happens if it's too low or not low enough? then you gotta mess with it again... just doesn't make sense

Once the wheels and body kit are on, you can then decide what kind of drop you need to make it look good and be functional for you. That's my opinion...I mean...if you get a crazy body kit...you will need rims soon or else it will look lame. But if you are just getting a lip kit...or even a not-so-crazy body kit...then you will be fine with stock rims...at least for a while...I have a vizage lip kit...stock suspension and tires...and I think it looks good. I mean it's not out of place or anything...now i admit that a drop would make it awesome...especially with some nice rims to go with it...but that will come when the money does...plus i bottom out too much as it is. It makes more sense to pick a kit that you like...and then find rims and tires to match since there are more options that way...

you don't damage the body kit when doing the springs well lets say you were doing your drop with your body kit..and you lift up your car with a jack..what happens if the jack accidently looses its grip and suddenly fell and slams right down...by the way you jack it..the fiberglass body kit will be gone..depending what part of it...happen to my freinds honda civic...with BC2 kit..jack up his driverside ..the jack gave on him...and slammed right on the sideskirt..and cracked it in half..

that has nothing to do with his decision on getting a body kit or rims first. Thats just a precaution you take, you need a good jack, and you need to know how to jack a car up appropriately.

get a 2 foot super wing before anything...looks sick when you have a stock car with hubcaps and bone stock with the biggest wing you can get...
lol for those who couldn't tell i was being sarcastic...if you got hubcaps get rims first...if you got ANY rims on a celica that are stock get the body kit. personally i love the VS with my GTS rims... im getting 17" or 18" konig troubles in the spring but still they are nice stock looking rims...its not like they are hyundi rims
Stay lifted

On my next car i will go 'Rims' first and a small 'Drop' at the same time...since the kit i want is only a lip kit i wont have to worry about it being to low IMO i dont like most cars that have body kits and no rims

Stay lifted agree with 2kveilside. I've got body kit and stock 16" gts rims it looks pretty nice. The 15" rims look kinda like focus rims and dunno about that so if you've got anything but the 15" I might say get rims. But the body kit with 16"s isn't bad at all and people love my car. I agree with the hubcaps, but never seen an american celica with stock steel rims and hubcaps so I think even with the 15"s a body kit wouldn't look bad. I don't think a stock celica with nice rims would look bad either though. I would deffinatly say wait on lowering til last though because it has to work with your kit and your rims and you don't want to go too low and have rubbing or scraping. cause you could probably drop a stocker 2" and be fine but 1" would probably be better on a veilside kit. But if your short on cash lowering is cheapest(200-1000), then rims(600-2000), then body kit(1500-2500 including professional paint and install).
