Are you talking about the ride height? I think that the Celi itself is illegal without a drop. I read this somewhere that if you were to measure the Celi from the ground, it is over the legal ride height.

Sure y not. bigger rims=lower profile tires which equals lots of sliding in wet conditions & thousands of dollars worth of damage if you hit anything. I would stay with 17" rims.

It's only illegal if any part of the frame of your car is lower than the lowest part of your tire rim.

The profile of a tire has nothing to do with wet traction!! Wet traction is based on tread design and if the person driving is an idiot. Also if anything if you ave 18s on your car it will make it slightly taller, then with the stock wheels regardless of your suspension set up.

Yea that is true. Anything can be illegal depending on how b*tchmade the cop is. I got pulled over because I did not look familiar.

I am pretty sure you can find some info on your state's DMV site, but I was having a hard time navigating thru it.

You gotta look into your local DMV laws. Its different everywhere. Up here in Canada they go by this rule: If your sideskirts (stock or aftermarket) sits any lower then the bottom edge of your rim (the wheel part), then that's illegal! If its higher then that, its fine.

You will NOT get pulled over for ride height. Basically, your car's frame can't be lower than the bottom of your wheel. This makes 18" wheels better than stock rims for lowering the car (legally) grin

The guy who told you he got pulled over for 18" rims and drop is a moron. It was his exhaust that caught the cops attention. I'm sure the cop just mentioned the other mods in a negative way, and the guy took it wrong. You really are THAT worried about tickets, just go back to stock exhaust.
