Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior trying to convert GT to GTS

i currently have an auto gt
i want to convert it to a gts(engine 6 speed tranny disc brakes)
dont feel like searchin for a gts in good condition
anyone got any prices and how to get the parts that would be great

I have an auto gt too, and have found out that it's exteremely expensive to do this, because I've looked in to it too.

i work at a dealership so labors ot really a big deal
i just need to know what i need more than anything and how to get the parts 98 seeing that eay is 95% honda parts

You should find a better reason to do a complete conversion than "I'm too lazy to look for good cars."

It will be very expensive, more than the cost of selling your car and buying a GTS. No matter how well it's done, too, it just won't be quite the same as having a true GTS. Your car will also be out of commission for a few weeks at least, more if problems develop.

A dealership might not be the best place to do tranny/engine swaps, and for liability issues (or just PITA issues) they may not do it for you.

And if you're at a dealership, why don't you buy a GTS there?

its not a toyota dealership but some toyota techs just recently got hired there
