How do you like the tC compared to the Celica GT?

i love the tc...i have a superwhite 5spd...the ride is very comfortable...there is a lot more room for passengers than the celica...but the celica has more trunk space...probably the only flaw about the tc in my opinion is the minimum amount of trunk space it has...

Maybe in 1 year or so, I might sell the GTS for a tC. Still thinking about it.

don't do it, it's a downgrade. Now if you had a GT than you could think about it but you have a GTS. Come on man won't you miss lift, and the sexy curves of the car?

^^See, it's facts and hopes like that. I would swap out a stock gts for a tC with a s/c.

BTW, are you sure it's TRD supercharger? I thought they "outsourced" the production to GM, and it's now using the Eaton supercharger.

btw- the eaton s/c was used on the 1zz for the corolla and matrix...the tc will be a vortex type supercharger.

^^The TRD supercharger will be available as of April 1st though. What's it use now? Vortex isn't a GM product??

I don't know that much about aftermarket parts.

Well, no doubt tC sales will be pretty good for a couple of years at least. People seem to like it. I'm keeping my GTS though.

Oh ow, up the butt.

Anyways, good stuff. I always thought that the tC did have the option available. Guess not. Will this supercharger void warranty?

The TC has really grown on me, will be hard to avoid once the SC is available. I also like the new spoiler that scion has come out with for it, much nicer than the original lip thing.

It doesn't need the looks of the celica. If it did, would it be a tC? Anyways, I kinda like the looks of the tC. Whereas the Celica looks like a young, edgy racer, the tC looks a little more laid back and "sophisticated". Apparently the interior of the tC and all its amneties are all very nice. I've yet to try one.

i don't know why people are comparing the celica with the tc. the tc's looks were meant to have a euro-design to it resembling a cross between a BMW and Volvo S40...the celica was more of an excersise in design by the calty team

I've been hearing that the tC will be new Civic. Once I heard that, I lost interest. Too many people are buying em.

I test drove a TC and on the trip i took a smooth left turn...i downshifted to 2nd gear and began to give the TC some gas... eekman that thing felt like a freaking SUV turning rofl thumbsdown..i was like No MaMeS...when i take that turn in my Celica it carves really nice through the turn..TC is nice but i would never give up my Celica for that 'bus' thumbsdown

the TC suffers from major understeer with a piggish weight of 2900-2970lbs. a front strut bar (for turn in) and a rear sway bar (or a little oversteer) should make it a bit better plus some good struts.

what's good about the TC is it's tq and the power band. if you see a dyno it picks up power early and even throuout the chart...unlike a GTS which eveyone knows doesn't get to 'happy-land' till' 6K.

Tossing the supercharger onto it will only make things better.

they already run magazine times of 15.6 by car and driver (their gts time was 15.3 and their mr-2 spyder around 15.5) stock...they have been shown that at ONLY 10 PSI boosted they can run 295whp... eek
