This is funny. My dad has an 84 Toyota 4Runner 4x4 for 12 years w/5spd and his synchro's never went out. lol

you need the knock sensor, ecu and the engine... but the GTS engine is useless w/o the 6 speed...

hey dude here is the ecu for the gts http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayIS...;category=33596 [cgi.ebay.com] all you would need now is the trans and knock sensor. and ur set. hehe i guess i forgeting about the instal but it shouldnt be hard once you have all the parts. ive done it on other cars. so its not bad at all.

not sure but turbo kit is 4 grand engine new probably 2-3 and trans about 2-3 so new total about 10grand so if you got it used I'd go for between 3-5grand for the package. But if it's in really good condition like almost new if you were willing to pay anything under 8grand would probably be worth it. But I'd go for 3-5 used.

you have a 5 speed and downshifted from 3rd to 2nd? if you plan on doing the 2zz motor and trans swap, be extra careful when you drive because the shift gates on the 6 speed transmission are much, much narrower than that of the 5 speed. my rule of thumb is when you shift to 4th, always backhand it.

i have a few more ? now that i almost completely have mi engine out, which by the way the head is gone,

will the engine harness on the gts plug into the same places as it would on a gt, or in other words is it the same fuse box?

and can i just change the gauge cluster without changing the wire harness inside the car
