has anyone ever had trouble with this? i've heard that the foam will crack and get sucked into the engine confused

please tell me this isnt true

by adding the bypass valve to your cai, i believe is almost as having a short ram intake.

No, it might make it perform like it though.

You will definately lose performance, and besides, they don't even work, it's been proven before. The piping is too short.
