Heard a lot of talk about them, a lot of people have optima batteries. Some questions: 1. Reliable? 2. What types are there?
Thinking about getting new battery because the GTS is at it's half-way mark on the milage. Thanks for the input.

I just put a red top into my stepdaughters car. It seems to be doing well. Where I live in Arizona, batteries go fast due to the extreme summer heat. People say the Optima stands up to the heat; we're going to find out.

http://www.optimabatteries.com/publish/optima/americas0/en/config/home.htmlGreat batteries. Like Curtiz said, if you have a lot of high wattage electronic stuff going on in the car get the yellow top deep cycle.

There are different sizes. Some are 40lbs, but theres one thats about 15-20 lbs thats really nice too. Red top for performance vehicles. yellow top for sound systems (you can play your stereo with the car off and not worry about it not turning over) $140. I want one!

I have a good system in my car already. Checked'em out, Red is for Automotive, and Yellow is for Marine use? They both have different wattage or something?
