Um, I just recently got a 2000 Celica GT, and I was wonderin what mods do I need besides Intake and Exhaust to Increase it, I wanna get my Celica to push more horsepower than my GST Eclipse, I have Iceman Intake, upgraded my Turbo to a Garrett Racing Turbo, I have a Apex Exhaust with Silencer, I have a Turbo Clear Tru Time Cam Gear, a TurboXS High Preformance Boost Controller, I have a Preformance Control Modules, and last time I checked it was 490 or maybe 500 hp with some 1G parts, so if theres preformance parts that I can use that would get me that much hp I read about the Turbo kit for the Celica GT and I wanted to know what Psi level I can set it to gain more than 80hp, so could somebody let me know somethin, i'm hardly on the boards, but you can IM me on AOL @ dsgb316

yep, you'd have to spend tons of money. May as well buy a faster car if that's kinda hp you're looking for.

6.Apexi N1 Exhaust 2000+ Toyota Celica GT/GTS price: 449.00
7. A'pexi Super AFC II Computer price $339.65

After all that stuff you might be pushin 270+ hp. But after that there arent a lot of engine mods you can do.

ohh ok, another question tho, like is there a forced induction for the GTS that is out on the market, because from what I'm hearing, that GT wont be able to get up with a GT stang and thats bad on my part, but I might just Trade it off, and get a GTS, but could you or somebody give me a list of things I could use for the GTS?

honestly, for the amount of money you would have to spend you should just buy a faster car like the wrx sti (300hp).

It'll be under warranty, save you a lot of headaches, and in the end.. probably even a little cheaper than doing all those mods to make your celica faster.

if you're going turbo, you need to be extra careful about upgrading engine internals.

If you are really serious about throwing thousands upon thousands of dollars into your car in order to get 500 hp or more, talk to Rod Millen about how he built his Pikes Peak Celica racer...maybe they can custom build you an engine.

I have got a hotshot header, AEM intake, Borla exhaust, jet chip, B&M short throw, I just bought a AEM pulley and haven't put it on yet (still debating whether or not to get the unorthodox setup). I am happy with all my mods but if I had to do it over I would have gotten an Injen intake and perhaps the Tanabe Exhaust. Also if you are going to do the turbo then wait on the jet chip until everything else is done. And a agree you won't reach more than 250 horsepower at the wheels without really doing some internals and a lot of psi. And although your celica may be slower than your eclipse, in my opinion it looks a lot sharper.

You better be willing to throw down some serious cash for them to even consider putting together a 500 hp celica for you. I mean, we're talking about an ungodly amount of money.

Dude, you are looking at some insane coin for getting a Celica to that level. Why go through that headache? Why not get a track model 350z - mods are springing up for that thing daily. Getting to 500 hp for that car would be less painful and invasive to the vehicle.

Thanks for all the information, but I think imma just stuck with my GT and atleast get it to 300hp and call it a day, I got to save up for that GT300 Body Kit, the price on it is just a wee bit to high, I mean for the Front Bumper and The Rear and the side skirts without that Carbor part should cost that much, I mean its crazy that you have to pay that much for that kit, its like what 3grand or more. I wish I could find a Kit that was simlair to that one

ouch..trying to push 500 horses out of a gt? rofl but i do agree that it could--technically--be done, but not realistically. by the time you finish putting all that cash into your gt you can hopefully find some time to sob because you could have just bought a infinity g35 frown

good point sean...nitrous is one of the easiest ways to get power. it just gets so darn expensive over time and you really shouldnt use more than a 30 shot if you plan on keeping your engine around for years to come.

kenred..with your list of mods i say you'd get a ballpark figure of about 220. the only major horsepower increases would come from the turbo (about 30), from the header (about 10), and the extra tuning after you add those bolt-ons (about 10-15). again, somebody correct me if my figures are off..and i really think thats a best-case scenario. just because a factory gt is rated at 160 horses doesnt mean you'll get anywhere near that..your probably only pushing a true 140-145 horses at the wheels. so you have to start from there. (another reason why i find it hard to beleive an eclipse is running 500--but there are things more bizarre than that are proven to be true.)

If money is no question theres a company that takes and completly rebuilts block from the bottom up with a turbo I hear some people cranking 450hp at the wheels. I cant remember the link do search I believe it costs $13,000 with a donor engine.

trial makes what they call a 3zz engine swap..it may only be for the gts though. it takes your original 2zz engine and puts new valves, etc to make a "3zz"...which they say gives you 220 horses at the wheels (on japanese 108 octane). visit the trial website for more info.

for about 4 g's you can get trial to give you what they call a "3zz" engine (may only be for gts though..i forget). they take your donated 2zz engine and increase the size of the valves, etc to make it a "3zz". its rated (by trial..not independently verified) to give you about 220 horses at the wheels (thats on japanese 108 octane fuel). visit the trial site for more info.
