Your GT probably has some miles on it, it might be the "Take it to dealer CEL" because they want more money. The CEL comes on whenever service time is expected at X amount of miles.

People shit their pants over this.

on some cars yes there is a maintenance reminder light...but I don't believe there is a mile counter on the Celica...purely based on engine/emissions functions.

I get my kicks on EC.

assumuming ur not joking gary, the cel is the litte engine pic on ur spedo. when it lights up there is an engine problem. you can see it when you first turn on your car. its with like the highbeams signal ect. I have no idea how to check waht the code of it is but incase anyone didnt knwo, that tells you wahts wrong. Now if you were jsut kiding aobut wher hte cel is then this is for anyone who didnt know wink

To reset it you can pull out i think the #15 fuse or somehting. What i did is jsut unplug the battery terminals ( i jsut did the neg) for liek 15-20 min. it will reset the cel and also your clock and radio presets
