hey i had my intake for a month now.. sometime odd is happenin to my car bout a week or 2 after i installed da intake.. my car accelerates wit a ehhhh sound.. doesnt sound nice, and my celica is killin gas like krazy. If i leave my car on when its parked.. it wastes more gas than it will when its actually driving. if i leave my car on for bout 5min tha gas will go down like 2 or 3clicks.. need some help here, is dis da cause of the intake? does da RD injen waste dat much gas? or is sumptin else wrong wit my car.. plz respond if you know thanx..
not sure exactly what is going on, but when i installed my intake the sound was heaven and the gas mileage was even better. something got f'ked up somewhere so check the install and try again. if youve done this already, then just take the intake out and see if it works then.
I had the Injen for almost year and a half. I don't have the problems that you're noticing. Best thing is to put your stock air box back and drive for a week. You can gauge your gas milage. Then, reinstall the intake and compare. Good luck.
Really BAD reality TV is the reason I stopped watching MTV.
Check your install. Make sure all hoses are connected correctly. Then, diconnect the negative terminal on your battery to reset the ECU. If it is installed correctly, this should take care of your CEL and allow your ECU to detect more air coming in and adjust accordingly.

wow i got my injen CAI like 2 months ago... im so glad i didnt have any problems.. exec809657 ur exactly right. it sounds ultimate... i love it... and my gas mileage went up when i drive economically, but when i race, of course it burns more, because i've opened up the engine by adding the intake..
While you're on the subject, I'm finally about to get the Injen CAI for my 00 GTS. How exactly do you reset or break in the computer after the CAI installation? Do you disconnect the battery... drive around moderately for a while... let it idle for a while...floor it while in neutral or let it sit for a month?
