Dynomat is deffinityly worth it for the sound quality, but 800$ seems a little steep. When i got my system installed i got dynomat instaleed all around and it cost me about $450 more. Ask why it is so expensive, becasue i doubt you will use more than i did.

The sound qulaity is deffinitley better, but the biggest difference for me was how much it cut down on road noise. Im glad i did it. And im glad you decided on a system, cant wait to see pics thumbsup

actually.. I dont thinks it worth 800. Iwent to home depot and got air conditioner duct tape(shiney silver)Theysell it by the roll and by sheets. I bought a roll and taped my whole trunk . Itworks AWESOME. It had a lot of bass rattle before after using it no more bass rattle. cost me about 20 bux.

I agree 800$ is too much, but i was starting over, i would still get it. TAT, i bet you can get them down from 800, try another shop and see what thier prices are like.

yeah, fatmat works good too. if you were closer to nc i could get you all the dynamat you needed for around 100 bucks. don't forget your polyfill while you're at it. thumbsup

Its not hard to do, just like applying stickers...also there is 300% markup on dynamat at any retailor. So if they have the stuff, they can discount it.

FATMAT all the way, I ordered 36 square feet and ripped apart my dash and applied it everywhere (posted pics in a previous post). Its a little thinner than dynamat but its HELL of a lot lighter. its good stuff

just get the dynomat trunk kit for 100 bucks,a 5 dollar wood roller and a heat gun.
it takes a day to do it
its not hard just time consuming thats why they are charging you so much its all lobor cost

BTW if you DIY make sure you clean the places you apply it really good or it wont stick

if you go to a roofing supply store and ask for peel n seal, its the same as the extreme dynamat but intended for metal rooves, what could be better than that...a car! its like 45-50 bucks for 100 sq ft. We did a whole ranger ex cab, for 75 bucks, i mean the roof, the floor, every panel came off the dash the firewall, the difference was amazing!!

I wouls also reccomend the peel n seal, by far the best bang for the buck out there, and its easier to apply, as it comes in smaller strips.

I would not reccomend edead, I used it, have used it, and tried to use it again in hopes it would work better this time... Peel n seal is a better product.

genrally, the biggest impact will come from doing your doors, the floor(especially near the wheels), your trunk area(if you have a sub setup), and as far up on the insdie firewall as you can get it. When your doing your doors, do both layers( the one thats the outside shell, and the one that your speaker sits in...this makes a very large difference.

what does Polyfill do. I have a big fiberglass box, that is pretty much hollow except for the subs. (see profile). Will polyfil help that??

I only used the 1'x1' (something like that) squares around my front speakers, just because I noticed door rattle on my stock stuff. It seemed to cure the problem, only cost me $35 installed when I was having my Kappa Perfects put in thumbsup

Poly fill is used in small boxes to give the sub an idea or image of a slightly larger box. If you built your box to specs, then poly fill is not needed. If your box is smaller then reccomended, then polyfill is used in this kind of situation. There are subwoofer box design programs out there to tell you how much polyfill you may want to put in, if you need it at all...Polyfill does not solve the problem of the box being to small... it is only a bandaid.
