They come in different sizes. Ask about it at your local auto parts store.

Reds are best for performance. Yellows if you've got amps and subs.

I vote yellow top even if it doesn't fit as good 'cause it actually has somewhat of a use in a celi if you got a lot of electronics and don't want to idle the car while you play ps2 in it. correct me if I'm wrong but the batterie is only used while the car is not actually running and then the alternator is doing all the work. other reasons for getting an optima battery might be mounting it sideways, a lot of movement such as demolition durb like in the comercial, or going around corners really fast since it's got the spiral cells so you don't have to worry about your acid spilling, or if you've got a big heavy high compression hemi or something and really need the power to crank it over. if it's just for looks i'd spray paint a 50 dollar battery red or to match my car/engine bay and save a lot of money.

if a red top is better for perormance and a yellow is better for audio/electronics, then what makes the red top better for performance because from what people are saying the yellow top beats all in every category...?

optima red top is good for starter..but i think the yellowtop is more of an all around. i just bought mine and installed it myself. i put a piece of wood underneath to make it raise up to match. was a little bit hard to put the positive back on but all good now. thumbsup

yeah but different color tops goes with different purpose.

yellow = audio
red = startup
blue = marine or boats i think.

maybe just paint it celicadragon thumbsup
