I have a 2000 GTS, and I always wondered why the rear seat had a different feel. The front seats seemed like they had thicker leather. Now I'm wondering are the back seats really vinyl?

The back seats and the back of the front seats are vinyl.

i found that 2 days after i bought the car. Leather interior my ass!! I gotta find an 03 celica from a junkyard...someday.

So 03+ has real leather on the back seats?

My friend has an 03..it feels like leather and looks like it as well..so im pretty sure it is..if not its a hellva lot better than the gray vinyl.

I have an 03; I always thought it was real leather but now this thread has me wondering.

Not that it realy matters all that much I guess, still feels and looks good to me.

You '03 owners can test and see if it's vinyl or leather by heating a needle red hot with a lighter and then poke it in an inconspicous spot and see if it melts through!

Since when has the celica had leather?? News to me. I've never seen racing/sporty seats in this price range with leather...

i have an 04 and the back feels like leather to me. It perferaded like the front as well. Guess i'll look online.

I have 100% aftermarket full Black Leather from Classic Soft Touch in my 2000 GT.

Im now getting w-tone Black Leather with silver vinyl

Wow. I didn't know 7th gen come with leather.
Are you guys sure about this?
Do they have any wrinkle after been using for a while?
Do they have leather smell?

mine has leather smell. no real rinkle yes but mine are new and middle is perferaded or however you spell that

I got suede in the front & back seats.

Yep. Leather.
It's one of the few options available with the GTS I believe.

No wrinkles to speak of (in mine anywho)

the 2000 GTS definitely is leather front and fake rear...it looks nice though...and...no one sits in them...so...

I'm with Tunnel on this one, I never sat in the backseat of my Celica.

My front driver's seat is wrinkling. I'm starting to pour the conditioner to it to keep the leather from looking like my grandma. the shifter boot is fake. took it off to look at my short shifter. After the fake wares, in seats, it will get shiney. The back seats are fake. don't wast your time in conditioning them!
