allright so im about to be done with all the basics for the engine so next im working on suspension...this is my current mod list: Tein S. Tech springs, Invidia exhaust, Ebay CAI (yea i know, it works though) andB&M SS. As of right now this is what im buyin in the next couple of weeks: DC headers(but im wondering if there is any other brand out there??) tokico struts, and possibly the unorthodox racing pulley set..but i've been reading that they cause some bad ass problems..is there any other pulleys out there that wont cause probs?? so the other half the my question is..i dont know where to start with suspension...im still learning so i have some questions...how much of improvment will a lower arm give? so if you can tell me what exactly suspension parts would be most important from most to least that would help out greatly...thanks!!

Are you into autox or extreme handling? If not, a lot of suspension mods will be unnecessary. I think I speak for most people that put aftermarket springs and struts on when I say, we do that to lower the car and improve the handling. But, its mostly done just to lower the car. Sounds like you've been doing your homework...thats a good thing. Question: If you did so much research, why are you getting an ebay CAI? DC is an awesome header. Hotshot also makes a header. I bought the Hotshot before DC produced theirs. If I had not, then I would go DC, so good choice on the header. Springs and struts will all depend on your preference. Just stay with a known name brand an you are ok. I say its based on your preference because it depends on how stiff you want your ride to be and how low oyu want it. IMO, Hotchkis makes the best suspension parts for the celica. I have their springs on my car. If you want to uprade the suspension some more, get a front and rear strut bar and sway bars. That should be all you need to do to your suspension for awesome handling. As for the pullies. If I had the money, I would buy them. There is a huge controversy on it, and people do sooo much research and bla bla. I have not seen any documentation putting the blame fully on UR, nor have I heard UR say that their pulley MAY have caused the failure. I think that answered most of you questions peaceout

It really depends how indepth you are going to go with it:
First and most important and will reflect biggest change will be some sort of springs which you already have.
Second would be the struts that the springs are on. Aftermarket ones are way better then stock. ( I have KYB)
Third is sway bars. This is third only because you need a stiffer suspension for these to be most effective and struts and springs are what will make these perform their best.
Fourth is upper strut tower bar. Many companies on the market for these and they make a little difference.
Fifth would be lower arm bar. I suggest Cusco.
Then you have bushings if you are really going to go all out along with a camber kit for the rear which would be needed if you have a aggressive drop.
These are my thoughts on suspension!!!

the reason i chose the ebay CAI is bc it peforms great for me. i feel its the same diff as if i bought a AEM CAI or Injen..i really dont know bc i dont own one, but if mine ever acts up, i'll get one, but for now my CAI is working great. well, the direction im going with the celica is im building up a NA motor. i want to build it to its fullest capability and put a shot on it. i want basically the both of the worlds..show and power..i know its gonna be hard but thats the route im going. im not going for a NOPI show car with the tezzy lights and APR bodykit, just a clean JDM look with the power to kick ass on the street and strip. hope that makes sense! so for the suspension..i just want enough to handle around 250-300hp...thats the target range hp i want..i dunno if a NA motor can get that, so thats what the shot is for...also...im keeping my stock 16 and getting them re-painted black and put some good lo-pros on them...will the wheel size be able to handle the performance upgrades or should i upgrade to a higher rim size? im not looking for chrome, im concerned more about reducing weight..i dont want heavy rims..so i dont really wanna go above 17's if possible...
