I am in the process of installing air ride on the celi.I will have a chrome air tank sitting where that little tray is in that back right behind the sit.I will probably go with either 2-12 in subs or 2-10s.does anyone have any ideas or pictures would be awesome of a box that i could build to house the subs the amp and still leave the rear open so that i am not hiding the chrome tank?Any help, opinions or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys

i would go w/ to 2-10s if you want space left in your trunk, good luck w/ your project though then post pics of the results

Do a custom floor install so you dont lose any space. Thats what I did. I got two 10s fosgate type 1's and two amps and they are flush with the floor so I didnt lose much space, only a little height. Looks good too.

Well my compressors and cylanoids and everything like that will be where my spare tire was so i will need to get into that area if there is ever a leak.So i was thinking maybe wrap it around...maybe putting the amp right in front of the tank kinda underneath if you will so not to hide the tank, and then wrap it around and put the subs to the sides maybe?

here is my setup... it leaves the back kinda open. i usually keep shoes and a tool box back there. i'm changing the red vinyl to black, and having the wires fed from the inside.

That setup isnt bad but would that leave enough room back there for a 6 gal tank? i dont know the dimensions but its not quite as big around as a nitrous bottle but it is longer

what you should do for best results is fire the sub up but port the box back.

I was always not to port boxes that go in hatchback cars. This is what the local audio shop told me...

No pics of the actual install that i have seen or found. But its not really as hard as it seemed at first its fairly simple. As long as the pieces are machined correctly(which i found out quickly). The rear lower mounting bracket wasnt cut or drilled correctly so i had to send it back and im still waiting on it.

Nice, yea all those brackets have to be cut perfect..
What kind of fittings are you using? Compression or the push to connect? Im kind of hung on which ones i like better, I just finished bagging th front of my truck and used push to connect, everything else is compression. PTC is easier but more expensive, compression is cheaper but more work..

Haha you guys are going to laugh when you hear what im using...i didnt like that plastic hose they used because it kinked very easily...so i am using 4000psi hydraulic line ..I hope the line will handle the kit .But i used that with hydraulic fittings so my car will sit for weeks without losing 1 psi of air and its great...i didnt use any of the fittings provided with the kit,no good in my opinion

I started a thread to get ideas for custom trunk installs. Good luck...i didn't get many responses...not for what i'm feeling you would be interested in doing anyway. I'm looking on getting started on a custom fiberglass trunk enclosure with trunk space kept in mind...But i have to wait til it stops snowing But i'll let you know how it goes and everything...and I've come up with a lot of ideas if you want any.

Yes definitely hit me up with some ideas i am probably going to use plexiglass that way i can cover up the hose connections to the tank and even cover up the welds on the sides of the tank..all youll be able to see is the middle of the chrome tank.
