Here's the story, I'll try to be brief. My engine makes this weird sound every maybe 7-10 seconds(or when I start to accelerate from a stop.)
It's hard to explain but I will try, this sound is not loud, rather quite. So far I was only able to hear it from the inside of the car. It sounds like water is running down a funnel(yeah weird, I know), but in the past week it got just a little louder, and now I can tell that it's a sound of a squeeking belt.
So I am not sure what to do, I am not sure which belt it is, and I am not sure what is necessary to solve the problem(not enough lubrication on the belt, belt is not too tight, I'm not sure)
If you have any suggestions please post here. And if you are sure what the problem is could you roughly tell me if I can fix it myself or if not how much will it cost.

I believe that's the coolant sound. You need to get the air out of the system. Many people, including myself, have had or have this problem and it doesn't effect anything. Any mechanic from a local gas station can fix the problem or yourself. Avoid going to Toyota on this, if I'm right.

If you take off the big engine plastic, you will see a white plug on the top of the coolant resovoir. Remove the large pressure cap and then unscrew the white plug. Once you get it unscrewed, tighten it down and replace the main cap. The noise should go away.
It's air in the coolant lines that makes that noise.

wow, it's kinda funny because I though that it was coolant before since my coolant level is very low, I was gonna go and get it refilled.
Thanks guys, I was beginning to worry that I will have to spend some mulah on the belts.

So in other words the job will be obviously cheaper but the right coolant will not be used.

hello guys, just want to add a little something about adding coolant and removing air in the system.
the coolant bottle, thats the clear bottle, need to be removed and lifted higher and must be placed on the hood latch.
sounds funny but i know what i'm talking about( even toyota technicians are doing it now) the metal clip that holds the bottle is the same size as the metal sticking up from the latch. the bottle has to be hooked on that latch then filled, its going to take a long time to fill and the engine fan would most likely be on.
if you dont do it this way there is a good chance that it will not fill properly and may retain some air bubbles.
if it sounds funny enquire from a toyota technician.
i really think i explained the entire process here on this site in more details when one guy had an overheating problem.

It's air in the coolant lines that makes that noise. Can someone tell me if this is correct? because it seems kinda easy. I'll try and see if it works. By the way wouldn't it be easier to just buy Toyota coolant and go get it flushed and refilled somewhere else? <--- to the guy who wanted it done.

well I did what silver suggested, and the sound seems to be gone, thanks man.
Now it's kinda weird because my coolant level was less then LOW and now after I did this it's up to FULL, is it normal?

if you lift your hood theres a sticker on the inside that tells you how to do it yes those stickers actually mean something lol hybrid celica is right. thats the ONLY proper way to do it. you'll want the big cap on and you'll want to open that little bleeder (the white cap thing) and let the air bubbles out. you'll want to repeat this until air no longer comes out.

So correct me if I am wrong. Do I keep the car running while opening the little white cap. or do I do it multiple times with the car off. The way I did it was start the car, open both the big cap and the little white one and I let the car run for a little bit. Thanks.

I did what lucky suggested, and unscrewed the little white breather hole it was letting air out for a little bit, and then the coolant started to rise a little and almost began to overflow, so I closed it. seemed like the air was out. but today I heard this sound again. any ideas on what I did wrong?

the sticker under your hood tells exactly how to do it.
it needs to be elevated when you do this. and it takes sometimes 10-20 min to get all the air out.
