Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior Crashed Celica - Doesnt run the same

Hey everyone i have a bone stock 2000 gt celica, and we were in a crash, the car went out and straight into a tree! insurance covered it,and the body work looks great, but the engine is crap now. my friends have celicas, and mine doesnt sound anything like theres, mine rev's really high, and redlines quickly.

Does anyone know what could be wrong? or how i could get it checked out, cheaply??

Are these the only symptoms? That it revs high and quick? I would think thats a good thing. well, maybe. You have to explain a little bit more whats going on.

No car runs the same after it's been wrecked. Especially if it's hit a tree. Take it to a dealership and get it check out? Othe wise, sell it.

yes i thought reving high n fast is a good thing... lol maybe hittin tht tree..was some kkind of magic tree tht gave you more hp..thts why you rev so quick now... naw im jp..but ya..no car is the same after a reck..like tht guy just said

Hey I think what he is saying is that it revs fast, but he is getting no acceleration. This sounds like a slipping clutch to me.. but IDK. maybe after your accident your clutch wasnt readjusted, does there seem to be a lot of play in your clutch pedal? I would have the dealer check it out

trade it for another celica...hehehehehe
