ok i just recently bought some JL Audio 6.5" door speakers to put in front doors on my Celi well come to find out after i pop the door panels off and drill out the pop rivets that are holdin in the factory speakers (which was a pain in the ass) they dont fit they are to small for the hole in the door so now im not sure what to do i can either attempt to build a "bracket" and make them fit or something else any info would help. Thanks

scoshe makes a bracket. Sounddomain.com has them for the best price around. If you dont want to make em, thats an alternative.

Your probably going to have to make some mdf baffles. This way you speakers will sound better since it is tightly secured to the door and it will also give you more depth so it won't hit the window when it is rolled down. Here is a pic of my setup. [Linked Image from memimage.cardomain.net]

6.5 is the right size, but no, it will not work without some kind of baffle. They are not hard to make, and even easier to buy. =)

i have 5 1/4 in mine. i think the 6 1/2 are too big and need a baffle made for them.
