my hydrolics/pneumatics on my hatchback are slowly but surely failing. they don't lift the lid anymore, but they still just barely hold it in place. i was just going to goto toyota and have them replace them for me (might be free??) but i was also thinking about putting remote controlled electrics back there anymore else thought of this?

lol, any idea where to find the electrily operated shock. i think i would only need one, and then just replace the other one with a stock strut. i would also need a solenoid to pop the trunk. anyone know where to find em? toyota wants $114.00 per side of the gas shocks. not worth it.

well they are not as cheap as i thought the were but you may only need one and use a shock on the other side to keep it stable. but anyway here is the link

well there are already remote controlled lambo doors, but no one likes them because they lift the door up very slowly. anyway let me know how this goes, i seriously want to do this to my hatch, i never go back there anyway because i got my system back there and i cant put anything back there, so i would prob use it for shows thumbsup

hm...how about an external gas tank, kinda like for a remote controlled purge kit, but allign the hoses to the bottom of the gas shock.aka drill into it and screw the hose into it then seal it.and have a tink tink little hole at the top so air could come out. would this be logical? especially if it was connected to some wireless remote.

the linear actuated would work great that teamed up with a double pole double throw switch a solinode and pulse timer and you got it

oh and wire

and a switch would be nice on the hatch so you don't go to far in either direction i drew it out and it would be really easy

hey thats a 20 minute phone call
