ahhh...i just got a speeding ticket.. he clocked me goin 90mph something but i was goin like near 100mph but i got a radar detector which did go off and i braked hella hard but some how his shit clocked me goin 90 when he was parked hella far in front of me.. i couldn't even see him until he turned on his lights... i normally turst my instinct and i got away with alotta shit over hte past few years but since i got my radar dectector i been too cocky.. i trusted that shit too much... i been driving over 100 since i got my radar for like 2 months..and now i get busted... i guess i was askin for it tho always speeding like that for no reason... i remember my old civic could never hit 100 so easily... but now its too easy... i guess i had it coming..

Sorry man, but you said it. Hopefully it won't jack up your insurance. Check on taking dafensive driving and see if they will do away with the ticket.

been there dude i have had 5 speeding tickets... i spent over a 1000 getting out of them... its not fun

Damn sorry to hear that dude. The Damn Radar does that to a lot of people including me. but shit i cant wait to buy another 1 since my last 1 broke.

that suck.. i used to have a radar dectector but i toss it away.. it work like 1 in every 50 time. i spent about $110 for that fucken stupid radar. best thing to do is follow the speed limit.

What I want to know, and I don't want to seem like a jerk, is why you like to go fast?

Can you put into words why you like to speed?

Maybe you could have spent the $1000 and put that toward track time at your local race track.

yea.. well i ain't gonna say that i didn't deserve the speeding ticket because really.. i was being stupid and there was no reason for me to speed.. but this is my first speeding ticket but not first traffic violation ticket.. this is my second moving violation ticket.. first one was because i ran a yellow and was stuck in intersection when light changed.. which was also stupid.. yea i use to think whats the point in speeding its stupid you don't improve on time that much quicker and i wasn't even in a rush..but i guess because i had a radar detector and thought it was hella good enough so basically i got too confident in it and started doing stupid shit.. so it wasn't the fact that i liked to speed.. it was more like the feeling that i could speed and get away with it.. which i didn't and i got caught... but i think i pretty much leanred my lesson.. i ain't made of money so i can't afford raising insurence.. espeically since i don't pay for insurence.. words to the wise.. it ain't worth it..

hell i like to go fast, and i'll tell you, i like to go fast, thats why i speed sometimes, after a couple of tickets and a girlfriend with a brother thats a state trooper that tells me they got a detector that can get you from up to a mile and a half away, no use for a radar, just follow the speed limit

no one can really say that they obey the speed limit all the time but how about just keeping it at reasonable speeds. i get kinda nervous going 50 in the street now. i try to keep it below 80 mph on the freeway though.

Well ive had my share of tickets i seem to get exhibition of acceleration. More or less spinning my tires. Ive gotten 2 speeding tickets 1 parking ticket, 2 spinning tires, 1 for noise pollution, and an ASS load of warnings. You can take defensive driving to remove it unless it is 25 over. So depending on the road you were speeding on you might actually get it dropped. with defensive driving also ask about differd judification or something like that. You still pay the "ticket" but it goes to the city directly or something nad your on driving probation for 3 months if you dont get another ticket its dropped.

also someone asked why we like to go fast? Im a "hefty kid" so unlike all the skinny kids that could run fast i have to drive fast!!! Or thats one of my excuses. I just enjoy driving quickly. Not wide open but on fm roads i love drivin around 70 or 80 as long as i know the road. But the speed limit is 55. My last speeding ticket was 96/55 it cost me 287 bucks

Most radar detectors only give you a 3second lapse of time to slow down. after that your fucked Trust me i know, i have one and i've been pulled over many times i have the tickets to prove it. plus my cousin is a state trooper as well

what about that valentine 1 isnt that supposed to be the best for like $400 and it points in the direction that the cop is sitting?

what kind of radar detector did you have?

i have a Cobra ESD9860.. its kinda jacked up the the screen doesnt' light up no more..but it talks..i got it for free from cousin it use to fly all over his car because the mount broked and it hit stuff hard and the screen got screwed up but it still goes off.. yea i didn;t kno about the time laspse thing i thought it gave way enough time to slow down.. but yea..it didn't.. i just dropped my speed around 10mph.. so it wasn't much..
