alright, sound aside (dont need anyone whos gonna be complainin about how loud its gonna be or the tickets ima get because i dont really care), if i went with a custom exhaust similar to the kazuma,(no cat, no muffler, just str8 pipe with a resonator) would i be getting the biggest hp gains? and that should probably be cheaper then buying the kazuma itself correct? how much should i expect to pay? just askin to see if i should even bother goin to the shop for an estimat.

exhaust alone will not make a huge difference. I would recomend going with a reputable aftermarket exhaust. I have a greddy axle back, it's nice because it has some of the best gains, and is very quiet at idle and low rpm, but sounds great at high rpm. I've heard TPR's exhaust is great, but you may have to wait. If you buy a used system, it should be about the same cost as a custom one.

depends on what size piping you go with, i have the kazuma with 2.5" piping and the gains to me are great. more power at higher rpms. if you buy the kazuma new its $350 bucks.

a good custom set up will cost over $500, you'd probably get similar gains (but smaller) from a TRD exhaust that you could get for like $250 used. i have a custom Veilside titanium canister with madrel bemnt piping that i spent about $550 total for. very nice top end but its loud and has a not so good low end. I also have a TRD exhaust that has excellent low end but top end sucks badly.

well it depends how nice you want it. i dunno how you can run with out a cat (sensor will give a CEL) but if you get really nice piping thats madrel bent and have a nice welds you're looking at a lot more than i paid cause your talking about making a whole new mid-pipe. too big a piping and i think you'll lose a lot of your low end power.

If it's a crush bent exhaust, I wouldn't bother with it. Mandrel bends are the way to go as far as flow rates of piping. And to those who want to run straight pipes without a cat, do us and the enviornment a favor and buy a carsound hi-flo cat. It will flow much better than the stock cat, keep the exhaust quiter than a straight pipping, and still keep smog down. Also, use magnaflow straight through resonators on your custom exhaust setup to get rid of any "ricer buzz" without sacrificing flow.
