I was looking at the toda racing website at the ITB's they offer for the RSX's...It looks like a good setup, and I was thinking about something...would they work for the celica if you had an adapter plate fabricated to get them to mate to our heads????? I was talking to a manifold fabrication company in florida yesterday, and they said it would be plausible, but they would need the ITB's and the head it was to mate to in order to get it to work...too bad I don't have $1800 to get the ITb's and try it out

you'll run into ecu issues. we dont currently have any options that can adjust for speed density. not only that but you'll need to convert to a MAP sensor.
thats just a few of the problems you'll run across lol

HKS VPC... it can convert things to speed density...its what it is for...if you can find one...they were discontinued
The HKS VPC is designed to physically and electronically replace OE air metering devices which present a significant restriction to the intake system and offer no adjustment or reprogramming options to take advantage of dramatically higher air flow or larger fuel injectors. The VPC converts both air flow meter and air mass sensor systems to what is referred to as speed density systems by utilizing a 16 bit central processing unit reading its own intake air temperature sensor and absolute pressure transducer (B-MAP sensor) signals. This unique conversion feature not only allows the VPC to replace the factory air flow metering device, but also eliminates the need for a fuel cut defencer. Another benefit of the VPC is the ability to create our own programs to take advantage of larger fuel injectors and new air flow characteristics (larger turbos). In some specific instances, the VPC may be used in addition to the PFC F-Con and larger injectors for the ultimate in HKS plug-in fuel system technology. VPC equipped vehicles respond quicker with improved horsepower. Controls those monster injectors as well!
Make sure you choose the right VPC for your set-up. ROM burning $89.00 each for a change to the VPC ROM.

there is an ecu not easily attainable in the states made by HKS that can do this also. but you wont find a local tuner lol and lord only knows how much they would charge.
if you're willing to drop the money then great. the ecu alone is $1400 it's rumored to be able to do the job of the power fc AND what you just listed.
out of the 6 shops listed as california tuners only XS engineering claimed to be able to tune it for a celica. they charge more then they do to tune the power fc is all they would say. but since everything related to them is CRAP I would NEVER take my car there lol
keep us updated.

I had a friend describe how that ecu works, and its very promising, the only problem is that only HKS and authorized tuners can tune it. its not like theres a datalogic version of it floating around, so in order to run that unit you have to pay big bucks for tuning.

there ya go. jsut remember 110-120db from your intake is gonna be hard to explain to the police on a daily driven car but yeah, would love to see someone do that.

heh...FUCK EM...wait until they try to read the exhaust for noise and find that it isn't what they are looking for...is there any way you could email me what your mock up idea was...you guys on that team of yours are great. I think I may be able to get ahold of a VPC, and may try to throw this together later this year. My email is Sblack82@mail.com
