I highly recommend not cutting the spring.

But to answer your question, yes, it can be done. It will be a pain in the ass and take a while, but it can be accomplished.

Yeah, that's the nice thing about independant suspension. You just have to unbolt everything and lower it all down. No need to compress the springs. Just put the car on jack stands. Place the jack under the desired spring/strut and jack it up a little...NOT off the stands, just enough to compress the spring pressure a little. Then unbolt the top of the strut and simple and slowly lower the jack and down comes all the goods. The rear nut on top of the strut is a b*tch b/c of it's location...but no air tools needed.good luck thumbsup

go and rent a set of strut compressors from autozone for $45 and they will give you your cash back when you bring them back

yes it can, but go with the spring compressors. I made a video of what happens when you dont use them when we were doing it on my old Integra

^^^ this could be needed somewhere more important, maybe save a life. i actually paid someone to have it done, who did use a compressor, but did not have to take the wheels off. Sounds wierd, but left the wheels on when he took everything apart
