hahaha wow, just got her back today. its raining here today so its ****tty weather to test drive in but even with it being wet out...easing into boost on the highway and breaking loose in 4th gear...damn! nothing like roastin em going about 80 MPH. BOV is ear peircing and I get that awesome turbo shutter sound every shift. that 16g turbo...wastegate doesent open untill 12lbs. Soooooo Im running 12psi on stock internals! well Hass Autoworks says they do it all day long on their 1ZZ MR-2's so im gonna trust them. not like I can hit full boost anyway cause it looses traction long before on these wet roads. Im having to learn how to drive all over again, linear power is easy...boosted power curves are tricky if youve never driven them before and expecialy on wet roads. Had a few scary moments but the rest of the time it was pure bliss.

Im going to have to resist the temptation to hit boost (3500) for a while untill I can afford a light weight flywheel and clutch install. I was planning on running 7psi untill I put in the this ACT i have sitting in my room but it might be sooner than later and without a light weight flywheel. But untill then I have a grin on my face that noone can take off...besides a cop...

finally somebody gets a turbo done! Idk I just always hear people saying they plan on it, yada yada, but I'm glad you did it and are enjoying the car now. Mabye you will inspire others to do the same.

well these are rough numbers and I got the hook up on a lot of stuff.
500-16g turbo
500-Tuned Emanage and 410cc Injectors
1200-Install/intercooler piping/downpipe/various little parts
300-intercooler
300-BOV and boost controller
300-exhaust
100-gauges
300-manifold

All total it was about 3500 out the door and worth every penny! It would have been less had I not upgraded the fuel system and turbo, like almost 1K less but I decided to stop cutting corners and do it right.

yeah be careful with that turbo lag. The first time i drove a 2nd gen GSX i floored it while turning from a stop sign...when i hit full boost halfway through the turn it nearly launched me right off of it

turbo's are soooo adicting man...that sorta whistle and the pssssshhht of the BOV... lol congrats on gettin that done for a great price...and be sure to post pics, dynos...but most importantly a sweet vid even if it's just sittin in ur car watching the tach and listening to that turbo and bov...i know i'll be hooked for a good hour

hey congrats man i have a 00' gts and i always wanted a turbo for it. can you email me with where you got the parts from? if you can do that i will get a turbo for mine as well. and that is a great ass price but i can get some of the other parts a lil cheaper around here. like the intercoller and the piping i might proly get cheaper. but let me know and maybe we can chat.

makes me wish i had a 1ZZ..it would open me up to a whole new world of F/I. who wants a gts in the middle of getting a cstom stroker kit??? with out the stroker kit its pushin at 240, with the stroker we hope to bump it at 2.2 at LEAST 2.0. should break 300...fingers crossed... so who wants it?? lol JK never would i give my GTS up... sorry.. all this pent up anxiety is building up its been in the shop for a week and im gonna get it back on wait... todays is tuesday... oh holly shit tomorow sweet. not having a car for almost a good months bites, right now im driving my old man' S10 woohoo performance galor ther...
