I own a '00 GTS and have low mileage (32,000 miles). I've been disciplined getting 3 month oil changes and scheduled checkups as necessary, according to the scheduled mileage intervals(e.g. 7,500; 15,000 miles; etc.). However, do I need to be concerned with replacing fluids/parts do to age and not so much by mileage? Should I just continue following the regular maintenance schedule? I talked with a mechanic and he said possibly replacing the anti-freeze coolant and differential fluid. When should I be concerned with replacing the manual transmission fluid? The maintenance schedule always list these items as "inspect." Would appreciate any and all tips.

damn!! first of all for a 00 GTS with that many miles is superb!! What I usually do is change the Oil every 3000-4000 mile intervals and change the oil filter. While im at it I check the fluids make sure they are topped off. Check the air in tires. Check coolant, check brakes, the typical stuff.

I'd get the coolant flushed and changed every 20K - 25K miles.
