Ive been looking for a manual GTS for a while now and of course the first one to pop up is a 2002. I know the 2002s have the lower rev limiters but I was just wondering how much slower the 2002s really were compared to the other years. So the real question is should I look into buying the 2002 or wait for a different year?

If you get a power fc not only can you raise your rev limiter, but you can start your lift earlier as well tongue

yes i would like to know more about this too. I'm getting my 02 this weeek and was wondering if there was a cheaper way to fix the problem? My friend said that toyota was doing a recall and that I would have to contact the dealer and they could fix it. Is this true?

Any other info would be great...not to thread jack

I doubt they will have a recall...best bet is getting a powerfc or an engine management system
