I cannot get lift in 6th. I get to 130 in 5th, then in sixth it just hangs like the gear ratio doesn't match. My RPM drops below the lift when I shift to sixth! what's up with that? (2002 GTS 22K MI short shift is only mod) I got it to work going down hill and soiled my seats.(Was racing a mustang 5.0 late 80's) Flat & level 99% of the time though. Also stearing gets sloppy around 120

2002 has a lower rev limiter, it's a lot harder to land lift in an '02.

How does that influence the sixth gear acceleration? It lifts to 8K!

(would be interesting to put 2 doughnut tires on the front to see) Does anyone make a replacement 6th gear so it's in the powerband?

You won't hit lift in 6th. 6th gear is similiar to overdrive. Not a true overdrive but same behavior

1,no speed governor, 2, you car dosen't have enough power to get get to lift in 6th gear, 3, pretty sure the ECU has no idea what gear you are in.

There is no lift in sixth gear. If you think you felt lift and shit your pants, it was probably just a strong gust of wind.

Just drop your car out a plane and you go faster than 155 mph
On the road to life there are drivers and passengers, Volkswagon. I just gave that person the finger for going so slow. Toyota For Life!!!!
