Let us say we had two identical 7th gen Celicas except for the engines, #1 has a 1ZZ-FE engine with TRD supercharger, #2 is a stock GTS with the 2ZZ-GE engine.
Would there really be much of a difference between these two?
Which car/engine would you rather choose, and why?

GT supercharged, if you mod the GTS then maybe then, but turbo's and superchargers are faster than N/A

I'm pretty in love with my GTS so I think I'll keep it. My reason? Personal preference and I really do enjoy the sound of my engine at lift.

I would go for the GT supercharged, since I have a GTS I'm so sick of having no torque.

To be totally truthful, neither.
I'd take the GTS. At least the warranty still exists, and Toyota can be my little bitch for awhile.

I would get the GTS because of the cool red badge you get to sport. Also feels nice rolling up next to a fully debadge Celica knowing that they are a GT j/k (I know some GTS who debadges to fool people like me, bastards! hehe)

I think the guy on here with the trd supercharged gt only puts down like 153 to the wheels. A stock gts still puts more down to the ground.

GTS for me as well. I saw a recent test on Speedvision of a SC GT, and it was too damn slow, ran like a 14.9 1/4 mile. You can almost do that on a stock GTS.

I think the guy on here with the trd supercharged gt only puts down like 153 to the wheels. A stock gts still puts more down to the ground. He put down more then that but he run 5.4 PSI for daily driving, your GTS would lose if you went up against him at minimum boost being 7 to 8 PSI

I'd go with the GTS. The thing is, I like my GTS not just for performance, but for the great fuel economy too (yeah, I'm one of those older guys that likes to save gas). Don't get me wrong, I like lift and all too. The boosted 1ZZ-FE wouldn't get as good mileage, and would probably develop trouble a lot quicker than the stock 2ZZ-GE.
I guess I'm saying I like the GTS because you can have good performance if you want it, but you can also get good economy if you want that.

GTS because there is nothing like lift. But I think only us GTS drivers understand that.

Some of these posts crack me up. Especially the people saying they love lift. And nothing is compared to lift. I have been in a gts, lift is nice and all, but is nothing compared to F/I. If you like lift, then you would love F/I, F/I is like lift times 10. Drive a F/I GT then tell me you like lift better
