this is based on no knowledge whatsoever but from what ive read in the forums i think the kazuma exhaust is just a modified TRD exhaust.

LEts put it this way..the kazuma i have had since about march i think.I bought mine from the dealer for about 435 i think something like that. Its a little more that way but it was easier for me.mine had to be bent a little for it to be fit just right and then you weld it to the back of the cat and from the cat back its just pipe pretty much.If you are paranoid about cops now then you will be scared to death if you drive with this exhaust.Even if your not paranoid about them you will be.I have had it that long and i still pull into parking lots sometimes to let the cops go by.But mine will be gone here soon too.I am keeping the piping but am running duals and putting 2 bomz racing mufflers out the back.

I got mine 5 months ago and had it on my GT (it fits GT and GTS it don't matter)... I paid 385 bucks (I think) and it's worth it man, It's LOUD but you can find a way to at least calm it down a little bit, not much but oh well 1st 2nd to 3rd shift @ 2000 rpm, (but then again that's just me). I've had cops and troopers on my rear like 3 times, just keep your speed limit and they won't bother you. But then again it still depends on the cop (knock on wood) . HP gain I don't know how much but you can definitely feel something once you hit 5500 to 6000 rpm... One advice to give you is to put flanges on the pipe so if ever you want to take it out for some reason, you can always put your stocks on... Good modification... Enjoy!

I paid 80 bucks for welding and putting 3 flanges on.. Basically flanges are like unions or connectors with bolt holes on each side.. Look at your stock exhaust they have it on them just before it goes to the muffler.. Just let me know if ever you need pics and I'll take some shots of how mine looks like and I'll send it to you! Werd!

It's not backfire it's afterburn.
The pop is gasoline being burnt after it leaves the combustion chamber. It can happen at the most undesireable time and cause unwanted attention.

Not really. I think it is caused by a rapid change in backpressure. Think about it, say you're driving down the street and you have your throttle opened about 40%. All the burnt gasoline/exhaust fumes create pressure in your exhaust piping as it is flowing to get out asap. If you get off the throttlee all of sudden, the pressure drops dramatically in your exhaust. So dramatic that a vaccum is formed in the front half of your exhaust system and it sucks unburnt gasoline into the exhaust system which it is then ignited causing a loud audible "pop."
